Not far from reality!!

I am retired, old and mostly cranky. I have blogged off and on since 2005, and have finally arrived here.

I have no obvious skills and lack that post graduate education that seems to required by the elitist some folks.

I mostly blog about stuff I know little of, as I figure what I know... is already known by most people. Naturally, the bulk of "stuff" is about USA matters, although I have spent time in several countries around the world. Spending time in a place and knowing the ins and outs of a place are very different. 

While I understand that most people have the same basic needs and wants, their ideas of how to achieve those items might differ significantly. 

I will present data from reputable sources, but the conclusions might be skewed to fit my opinion of matters. I am not an economist, scientist, or much of anything else. So beware! 

Most of what I write is centered around how the outside world might impact me. Your situation might be different. 

I routinely visit various business news sites; and thanks to google translator, I also visit various foreign language newspapers... in addition to English language editions of those same countries. Somehow they seem to differ in perspective. Which tells me the "truth" might be distorted.

I don't take to heart... much of anything written. Almost every journalist is beholden to the almighty paycheck that is a product of a business reliant on advertising money, which comes from the very "folks" that should be investigated.

Does that make me a cynic? HELL YES! Much of what I write is based on the information I have gleaned and formed an opinion thereof. Just like the 'guvmint' is always revising things, based on latest data... my opinion can also change, based on the latest info.
