| Not far from reality!! |
I am retired, old and mostly cranky. I have blogged off and on since 2005, and have finally arrived here.
When I was young, a lot of folks considered me to be quite the idiot. They were amazed at my life's accomplishments, so I probably wasn't an idiot, but I would consider myself ignorant of many things. The difference being an idiot never learns, but an ignorant person is capable of learning.
Which is why I blog. It forces me to research many things, which provides a better understanding of the world around me and of course... I learn.
It is a constant process, as many things I 'learned' as a young person, were actually incorrect. The next phase was to think the opposite, which was also incorrect. The truth is much more nuanced and requires shopping the various aisles of the global marketplace of ideas. Choosing one ingredient at a time and testing it.
It's a long journey and has been quite a learning experience. I hope to continue being ignorant, yet capable of learning even more.
